We believe that by bringing people together in such
centers, we can inspire and organize them to lead a more enlightened and purposeful life.
Through
the medium of Satsang, we will encourage the dissemination of cultural and
spiritual values that promote a sense of unity and mutual respect among people, and inspire them to
work towards the common good.
These centers will serve as a hub for community
development and will focus on empowering women and youth to become self-sufficient and
aware of their rights.
We believe that by creating such cultural centers in villages, we can
contribute to the overall development and well-being of rural communities.
Kathakar Yojana
It is a program organized by EKAL SHRIHARI to provide training to the young brothers and sisters
of the village through saints and storytellers.
The program includes organizing events
such as storytelling, Satsang (spiritual discourses), family and village welfare rituals,in
their respective forest areas.
Shri Hari Rath Yojana
The SriHari Rath Yojana is a mobile mini-truck shaped like a chariot, carrying a small temple of
God, which travels from village to village in forest areas.
It is welcomed by villagers
who perform Puja, and in the evenings, it serves as a mobile cinema screen showing devotional
films, leaving a positive impact on the forest dwellers. The program promotes social harmony and
awareness among the villagers.
Our partner organisations
Vyasa & Acharya Kathakar Yojana
The SriHari Satsang Samiti selects brothers and sisters from rural areas for its author/teacher
development program. They are given 9 months of disciplined storytelling training at the
organization's training centers throughout the country.
After successfully completing the
training, these storytellers are sent to villages to educate the forest dwellers about their
culture and way of life through the Ramayana, Shrimad Bhagavat Katha, and Shiva Katha.
The
storytellers also organize religious gatherings and promote addiction-free living.
Vanyatra Yojana
One important aspect of the EKAL ABHYAN is the forest tour, which aims to bridge the gap between
urban and forest areas by creating a harmonious environment and to prepare a mentality of
contributing to the conservation of nature and understanding the lives of forest dwellers,
knowing their problems, and resolving them.
Organizing forest tours works as a bridge
between urban and forest areas and remote villages, acting as a bridge-building mechanism.
