In the land of Lord Krishna, even a single drop of blood
shed from the sacred cow would cause great anguish to the Mother India.
It is with this
resolute determination that the Gau Gram Yojana has been launched. This visionary initiative aims to
provide indigenous, non-milking cows to farming families in rural areas, and
empower them to become self-reliant through products made from cow dung and urine.
The
program encompasses not only the protection and welfare of cows, but also the promotion of a culture
of reverence towards them, both in urban and rural societies.
The first phase of the scheme
seeks to bring 8000 cows to 8000 farming families.
